The Event Booth Gives Back

Being a locally-owned photo booth company, the event booth prides itself on giving back to the community. Over the past few months, the event booth has been spotted at several charity events!

Melissa and Jeff
In April, the event booth lent our services to The Wedding Pink, an annual, heartfelt wedding giveaway package presented to a couple whose lives have been recently touched by breast cancer. This year's couple, Jeff and Melissa, have overcome lots of life's curveballs. In 2009, Melissa was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer; she endured a double mastectomy, followed by six rounds of T.A.C. chemotherapy. Her husband Jeff never left her side, and Melissa can now boast that she is cancer free.

It was truly an honor to be a part of this incredible day! The event booth was a huge hit, and laughter poured from the booth the entire night. We look forward to serving The Wedding Pink in any future weddings.

During May, the event booth was found on the scene at Denver's largest derby! The Derby Party is much more than horses and cool drinks: the event was created to benefit the Sean "Ranch" Lough Memorial Scholarship. Sean was a remarkable individual who touched many people with his spirit, aspirations, humor and kindness.

Derby-goers rocked it in the event booth!
This scholarship in Sean's name is given to an individual that exemplifies the qualities he had, including a high GPA, economic need, and most of all, a hearty personality and love for life. The 4-year, full-ride scholarship to Colorado State University, Sean's alma mater, is awarded to a deserving student each year at the Dery Party.

What a BLAST we had at the Derby Party! Gorgeous hats, derby suits and lots of big hearts surrounded the event booth. Plan on buying tickets to next year's Derby, it's one of Denver's biggest and best events - plus, the event booth will be there. ;)

The event booth loves to give back-it's what makes the world go 'round, right? If you know of a deserving event that could benefit from Colorado's largest photo booth, contact us at info@theeventbooth.com.

Six Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Photo Booth for Your Big Day

Photo booth rentals are all the rage at weddings - but what do you need to know before signing a contract? Ask potential vendors the following six questions to avoid any unwanted surprises on your big day.

6. Strip-tastic: For as long as we can remember, we've had our fun in photo booths and took home the strips of photos that printed. What a bummer to find out a photo booth doesn't even print actual strips. Verify with the rental company that you're getting the classic look.

5. Ask for measurements: The size of the photo booth plays a large factor in determining where it can best be placed for maximum guest enjoyment. Also, if you're looking for a booth that can fit groups (bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc.), opt for a booth that can fit at least 10 people at a time (like the event booth!).

4. Double prints: Photo strip guest books make for an amazing keepsake from the night. But if your company doesn't provide double prints, your guests won't have a keepsake of their own. Some companies charge extra for double prints or force you to buy a guest book before providing them. Forget that. Go with the event booth - we'll print as many strips as you'd like and we won't charge an arm and a leg for them.

3. Request a photo of the booth: Your wedding is one of the most important events of your life. The last thing you want is a rocket-shaped booth or something that resembles a piece of abstract art to detract from the elegance of your wedding. The event booth is sleek, black and clean - we keep it simple.

2. Set-up and tear-down time: Make sure you're getting what you paid for. Other vendors include their set-up time as part of your rental package. Double check to verify that a 4-hour rental package means four hours of photo booth time.

1. Hidden Fees: Trip fees, props, custom logos, DVDs, private web galleries...you get the picture. Don't settle for a company that charges extra fees for these items. Maximize your photo booth experience by going with the event booth - where you get all these extras at no additional charge.
